COZi Build

Building the Operating System for COZi Living

I started as a way to stop juggling cleaner schedules on a spreadsheet. Seven-plus months later, my vibe-coding product runs reservations, owner reporting, vendor coordination, and billing for a 50+ room hospitality business.

This page follows the build as it happens — the milestones, the articles, and what I’d do differently.

The Build

COZi Build, month by month

December 2025
Initial operations dashboard
The starting point: a single view of check-ins, check-outs, and cleaner assignments to replace a shared spreadsheet.
January 2026
Cleaner workflow, approvals, and pricing
Added structured task assignment and approval steps, plus the first version of dynamic daily pricing.
February 2026
Vendor portal and WhatsApp automation
Vendors got their own access, and routine coordination moved into automated WhatsApp messages.
March 2026
Owner portal and building structure
Property owners could log in directly. This is also when the data model had to grow up to represent real building hierarchy.
April 2026
Financial reporting and property P&Ls
The hardest phase so far — reconciling cash versus accrual reporting per property, not just in aggregate.
May 2026
Calendar synchronization, leases, and direct booking
Reservations started flowing in from multiple channels at once, which meant solving for conflicts in real time.
June 2026
Guest billing, chatbot, and revenue monitoring
Guest-facing automation arrived, along with better visibility into where revenue was actually coming from.
July 2026
Reliability, safeguards, and production edge cases
Less building, more hardening — the unglamorous work of making sure the system doesn’t break under real use.

A small tool for managing cleaners gradually became the operating system of the business.
